  • Why should I wax?

    Waxing consistently has many benefits such as your hair will grow back slower, finer, and sparser. Your skin will become smoother and softer. You must be a regular and consistent waxer to enjoy these results.

  • Does waxing hurt?

    Everyone's pain tolerance is different. There is no yes or no anser to this question.  Here at Kajun Jeanie we take extra measures to make your experience more comfortable.

  • How long will my wax last?

    If you are a virgin waxer or new to waxing it will last 1-3 weeks following your appointment depending on your hair growth.  Regular and consistent waxers on average last 3-5 weeks following your appointment.

  • Will my hair grow back thicker?

    No. Waxing removes hair from the root causing the hair to grow back thinner and softer. 

  • What kind of wax do you use?

    A combination of hard and soft wax depending on the area being waxed. Both are hypoallergenic and for sensitive skin.

  • What can I do prior to my wax appointment?

    -Exfoliate skin a day or 2  before your wax  appointment gently with a mild scrub, brush , mitt, or loofah to remove dead skin cells.

    -Clean area throughly before appointmtent. Take a warm shower to open your pores.

    -Avoid gels, lotions, and oils before your wax as it may interfere with your hair removal.

    -Take an over the counter pain reliever such as ibuprofen 30 mins to an hours prior to apppoinment.

  • What do I need to do after my wax?

    For 24-48 hours:

    - Wear comfortable cotton clothing (after inimate waxing wear cotton or no panties to bed)

    -avoid sweating & exercise

    -avoid saunas, tanning, pools, ocean

    -avoid sun exposure

    -shower (avoid hot water in the waxed area)

    -slather on the aloe

    -avoid touching the waxed area

    -avoid anything scented such as perfumed products, lotions, and creams

    -apply ice if needed


  • How long should hair be?

    At least an 1/4 inch or the length of a grain of rice. Do not shave or trim hair prior to appointment.
